Week 2 Done and GONE...

Congratulations we have made it through 2 weeks of school.

English 10, I had to move the work back due to the difficulty of the questions on the Story, "The Kid Nobody Could Handle."
There are several students in 2nd hour that need to come ZERO hour on Monday to finish their questions/quiz.

Monday we will go over the Wordly Wise 1D and 1E.
Tuesday will be the Wordly Wise quiz for Lesson 1 in both 10th and 12th.

10th grade is finishing up with the Story. We are going over the questions/quiz on Monday.

12th grade is finishing the first literature circles. They are to be ready to do a presentation on their story at the end of class on Monday.

Have a great weekend.
Sports Progress Reports were done this week.

Wednesday - Eng 10 and Eng 12

This week we have started doing work in the Wordly Wise book.
Today WW 1c was due and tomorrow WW 1D is due.
That means on Friday we will correct 1 E and on Monday there will be a QUIZ on the first 15 words in the Wordly Wise book.

This Wordly wise work is for both the 10th grade classes and the 12th grade classes.

10th Grade:
We are reading "The Kid no one could handle."
On Thursday we are having an IN CLASS Assignment/ Quiz on that story. Students are encouraged not to miss this.
I will be checking journals while the students are taking the quiz.

Friday we will be taking a entry test for the 10th grade English book. This is a tool for me to see if the students learned enough last year to move on.

12th Grade:
We are going to begin waking in Literacy Circles. I have found several short stories for the students to read in groups.
They will have to give intelligent answers on the information in the stories.

Thanks
Mrs. Frederick

WELCOME BACK

WELCOME BACK TO OLD REDFORD ACADEMY
Thank you for checking the website.
I am extremely pleased to hear that some people are already checking to see what is going on.
English 10 and 12 - Have a Goals essay paper due on Monday. I would like it typed if possible.
If not, it needs to be double spaced on lined paper. The students need to have their paper today, or I will have to give them a detention. Any papers for my class are mandatory, and I do use the school policy of detentions for missing homework.
Each class was also to do the 1A in Wordly Wise.
We will go over that in class on Monday. Each day they will need to continue the Wordly Wise work.
Thanks for joining us at Old Redford Academy.
Mrs. Frederick
