Ok, its over

We finally made it to the Holiday Break.
I can hardly believe it.

A reminder that the paper students are writing for English 11 are STORIES. Not essays. I don't want it to be a, "We did this, and we did that," type of paper. I want the sensor details. I know, I have to work on my paper also. I started it in class with everyone else. I may post some of it here. Please remember you can email me with questions. It is on the paper I handed out last Thursday and on the syllabus from the beginning of the year.
Good luck.
Happy Holidays.

Wow, it's almost Break

Hello all,
Happy Holidays. I can hardly believe that it is almost that time again.

We have been very busy in the English 10 classes. We have finished Wordly Wise sections 6 and will finish lesson 7 this week. Friday December 17, we will take the test.
The 2nd FCA papers are almost done. If they are doing revisions, I have to have them before Friday.

In speech we worked on doing Interesting Openings to the speeches. We did one quick speech to help grades before progress reports and home to do a Persuasive speech before the finals.

WE DO HAVE CLASSES ON DECEMBER 20, 21, 22. All students are expected to come to school. We do understand that Detroit Public Schools will be closed. We are trying to make up a few days that were lost at the beginning of the year. Please make sure your students are in school.

There will be a fairly big assignment for over break. If the students come to class next week, they will have much less they will have to do over break.
Have a great day.
